Lt. Colonel Vincent J. Perrone Jr. - President
Lieutenant Colonel Vincent John Perrone Jr. was born in Worcester, Massachusetts and graduated from North High. He attended Norwich University, the oldest private military college in the nation, founded in 1819 and the birthplace of ROTC where he was a Dean's List student, earning a Bachelor's Degree and his commission as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Air Force. |

Colonel Perrone holds a Master of Science Degree in Business Administration from Central Michigan University and has completed work toward his Doctorate in Systems Management. He holds level III certification, the highest level offered by the Air Force, in Program Management and Acquisition Logistics. His major awards and decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, with four oak leaf clusters, the Air Force Commendation Medal, with one oak leaf cluster, the Air Force Achievement Medal, with one oak leaf cluster, the Korean Defense Service Medal, the National Defense Medal, and the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal. Over the years Colonel Perrone has volunteered his time and resources to many community services and programs. He has worked with the elderly, church groups and children's orphanages to name a few. He was elected to the office of School Committee and currently serves the Berlin/Boylston School System. Upon his retirement from the United States Air Force, he accepted a position at EMC Corporation in Hopkinton, MA as the Director, Government Marketing. For nearly fourteen years he has been involved in a grass roots effort to provide housing and supportive services to homeless veterans and their families. He was named to the agency's Board of Directors in 1993 and elected to the office of President in 1994. In 2002, the Board of Directors appointed him Chairman, President & CEO of Massachusetts Veterans Inc (MVI). Colonel Perrone has helped raise over four million dollars for MVI and has assisted thousands of veterans and their families throughout the state of Massachusetts. |

Denis Leary - Vice President
Denis Leary, of Shrewsbury, a graduate of Stonehill College and Boston College Graduate School of Social Work, has more than 15 years experience in the administration and management of human service programs. Mr.Leary was previously employed by Community Healthlink, a subsidiary of UMassMemorial Healthcare System, where he was a Division Director for 11 years. He is also the former President of the Central Massachusetts Substance Abuse Association, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and a past recipient of the prestigious Telegram and Gazette's Vision 2000 Public Service Award. |

S. Sam Slep, Major USAF (Ret.) - Treasurer
Sam was born in the former Soviet Union and as a young boy, with his family escaped the tyrannical regime through Poland, and Israel and settled in Hartford, CT in 1962. He earned a full scholarship to the USAF ROTC program at the University of Missouri, received his Bachelor's Degree and a commission into the USAF. Sam served the USAF as Financial Manager and Comptroller in many program offices. Major Slep ended his career as Deputy Inspector General, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio and retired from active duty. Sam is co-owner of the StarDust Restaurant and Lounge, and The Sport Zone Tavern, in South Windsor, CT. Sam is a single father, raising his son Joshua. |

Roland Bercume - Secretary
Roland Bercume is the Pharmacy Manager at the UMass Memorial Medical Center, University Campus. Mr. Bercume oversees the provision of acute care pharmacy services to all areas of the University Campus managing over 50 staff. In his capacity at the Medical Center, Mr. Bercume is responsible for maintaing all aspects of medication management including the provision safe medication delivery to the entire campus including the new ORs and the new Level 1 Emergency Department. Mr. Bercume is a Registered Pharmacist and holds a bachelors and Master' s Degree in Pharmacy Therapeutics. He has over 25 years in Pharmacy Management. |

Paul Gallo - Board Member
Paul J. Gallo is the president of Training Resources of America, Inc. (TRA), a private non-profit organization that provides education, employment, and training services to educationally and economically disadvantaged youth and adults. Mr. Gallo oversees operations at several training sites in Massachusetts, Texas, New York, and Washington state, as well as the MJT Child Development Center in Worcester, MA. Mr. Gallo holds a BA in Sociology from Holy Cross College and is a graduate of Harvard University / John F. Kennedy School of Government's Professional Program for Administrators of Employment and Training. |

Allison Alaimo - Director of Development
Allison Alaimo has been with MVI since 2002. She has been instrumental in developing our extremely successful Employment and Training program and as Director of Development; she has brought in over one million dollars in funding that has helped develop new programs for veterans and their families across Central Massachusetts. Prior to accepting the position at MVI, Ms. Alaimo served as Manager, Sales and Marketing for Beautone Specialties Co., Ltd. Allison is a Dean's List graduate of Worcester State College. She received her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management. Allison is actively involved in city government where she currently holds a seat as a member of the Worcester Citizens Advisory Committee and she is involved in the Worcester-area Women in Development and a member of the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans. |
